Jeriah is a super young gelding sired by whiskei who comes from the famous imported stallion Patijn. He stands at 16.1H, and is a more refined build. Jeriah has current, clean hock X-rays. He was purchased by Varvel Sporthorses in 2016, being pulled out of pasture at 2.5 years old. He was not driven or long lined, and began his basics in winter 2017. He is very kind and laid back in the barn, but does crib while in his stall. He stands quietly while being tied, trimmed, given shots, clipped, etc. He has not needed to wear shoes, and has lovely quality hooves and legs. He also travels well, always loading on the trailer without issue.
"Jerry" as he has been nicknamed in the barn began his undersaddle work in May 2017. He is currently solid First level, and schooling all movements from 2nd and 3rd level including a green flying change in both directions. Jeriah is sensible but is sensitive undersaddle. He always puts in 100% effort in training and very rarely requires lunging. He goes nicely in a soft, 3 piece, loose ring snaffle, but has been introduced to the double bridle. Jerry displays exceptional potential for extended trot, passage, piaffe, and collection in his canter. This is a super prospect for an advanced Adult amateur or a young professional looking for sweet, talented upper level prospect. Price will increase with training and competition experience.
