About Varvel Sporthorses:
Varvel Sporthorses was founded by the Varvel family in 2017 with the purpose of breeding, training and selling quality and affordable KWPN horses. It has been a mission of ours to bring the outstanding soundness and trainability of the older type KWPN harness horses into a more modern dressage horse. We have hand selected our breeding stock based on the high percentage gelders blood that they have to offer and their exceptional pedigrees.
Our farm is located in Bloomington, Indiana and is situated on 30 acres of land about 20 minutes from the downtown area. We have an approx total of 15 fenced acres which is sectioned into 6 to 8 fields varying from 1acre to 5 acres. Additionally, we have 2 dry lot paddocks for stallions or injured horses requiring special turnout. Our main barn features 7 stalls, 2 which are oversize and a third that we can make into a 12x20ft as needed. We have a smaller broodmare barn which features 3 stalls and two fields with 12x20ft run ins. Currently, we have a 50ft sand roundpen and 80ftx 180ft sand arena for riding in addition to our large hill which is perfect for hacking and conditioning. Our farm is currently private with the exception of haul in lessons and training horses.
